Advantage Flag League will once again set-up and run the “football toss” and game booth in support of a local fundraiser for Yorba Linda Pop Warner and the YL Wildcats Junior Pee Wee level football team. Every child that can throw the AFL football through one of the passing targets will win an AFL football Medal, if they can do it twice in the same 3 throws, then they also get an AFL football or T-shirt. As always when the AFL donates this booth, there will be “no charge” to participate or win a medal, football of T-shirt. We are pleased to be able to assist and promote youth sports and fun for the youth in our community.

“Be Prepared”

The AFL will sponsor 2 booths for AFL football toss and one additional booth for BSA Troop 1775 – Yorba Linda. The Boy Scouts will sell “Scouts Honor” cards (discount credit cards for consumer purchases) and Earthquake kits. The earthquake kits help to remind us of the Boy Scout Motto: “Be Prepared

This booth and fundraising opportunity at YL Pop Warner’s opening day will allow local boy scouts to earn community service hours and allow them access to a highly populated venue for fundraising as well.

So please come out on Saturday, August 21st and support the league and the Boy Scouts with your attendance and patronage. We look forward to seeing you.

League Basics

Advantage Flag League Football is intended to be Fun and Competitive.   We play a 6 on 6 game for 4 Quarters.   In this game, the offensive team plays for a first down at midfield and a touchdown in the end zone.   Running and passing plays are allowed, although there are “no running zones” at midfield and near each goal line.   The defensive team covers receivers, rushes the passer and grabs flags to make “tackles”.   The game is a “non-contact” sport which emphasizes good footwork, balance and hand-eye coordination.
