Rangers Clubwide Pre-Tryout Training in April

Rangers will hold three training sessions on Fridays in April as follows:
· April 12th, WCC Turf, 5:30 to 6:30
· April 19th, WCC Grass, 5:30 to 6:30
· April 26th, WCC Turf, 5:30 to 6:30
Each of the sessions will consist of SAQ (Speed, Agility & Quickness) fitness; skills training and small-sided games. These will provide a way for players – particularly those whose seasons have ended – to keep their skills and fitness up ahead of tryouts in May.

These trainings are for players of all ages and players will be grouped into similar age groupings at the start of the session. There is no cost or pre-registration required to attend for all Rangers players. Siblings and friends not yet in the Rangers program are welcome to attend accompanied by a Rangers player if they currently registered on another WA State Youth rec or WDL team soccer for insurance reasons.

Players should arrive a little early and ready to go at 5:30. They should also bring a ball, shinguards and water. Sessions will be coached by experienced Ranger coaches.

SPECIAL NOTE: The session on April 19 will take place on the grass field immediately West of the WCC Orca Turf Field. Please note this important request from Whatcom Community College regarding parking that day: “Please have all players enter from the Orca Field parking lot. We ask that there be no parking on the road and that your parents do not drop off on the kids on the street side. Also, have your players avoid walking on the paved areas near the new WCC Auxiliary Building. We ask that players walk on the grass and until the point that we develop a permanent walkway.”
